Kevin Miranda

SSA helped me realize that soccer is more than just a sport. It's not always about winning. Soccer's true motive is to teach people to build relationships and mature by learning that working hard transpires to other places in life other than just the pitch. The hard work pours over into the classroom and relationships with family and friends. My two summers spent with SSA helped me to become not only a better player, but also a better person

Spencer Cusmano

My name is Spencer Cusmano and Select Soccer Academy has helped change my soccer career in many positive ways. Playing travel soccer for the past 8 years has been a great influence on my life contributing to my active lifestyle. Leaving behind soccer when I started college was the worst experience ever. Luckily I found SSA in January of 2012. Coach Rue and Coach Niebling created a friendly soccer environment that is meant to help players who enjoy the game of soccer to improve. With their help I improved my skills and my soccer IQ. It's not your typical travel club looking to sign up as many players as possible, they do it for the kids. SSA changed my life by allowing me to play futsal three times a week. This helped me develop skills, a quicker touch and enhancing my decision making speed. Playing futsal and the positive coaching elevated my game to a new level. Also with Coach Rue and Coach Niebling's help I was put on a weightlifting schedule. This workout routine got me in shape for tryouts for college teams. I was successful in my tryouts and i'n in my first season for Northwood University. The help of the SSA program helped enable me to revive my soccer career and give me the opportunity to play college soccer. I could not have done it without them.

Kali Chaplin

My name is Kali, Its been a crazy month for me with soccer and moving into school! Miss playing futsal with you guys! hope all is well! Kali Chaplin My name is Kali Chaplin and I am a recent graduate from The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens. My senior year saw great success thanks to the training I received at SSA. I learned about SSA right after the close of my Junior year soccer season. With school soccer ending in an upset and club soccer heading into the do or die stages in State Cup, soccer had become very stressful. SSA provided a stress free environment with players who really love the game to come and showcase their talents while the other players are all pushing to make everyone even better. This was the exact thing I needed. Sometimes we get caught up in all the competition in club and school soccer that we forget to have fun. SSA helps you remember why you fell in love with the game. After training with SSA for about 8 months, I was ready to finish my senior season strong. My team ended up with a 2211 record, going undefeated in the regular season and ending in a 21 loss in the State Semi Final game in which I scored 79th and last high school goal. I scored 42 goals and had 29 assists in my senior season, which was enough to convince both the Palm Beach Post and Sun Sentinel to name me 2013 Player of The Year for small schools. I was also Runner Up All State Player of the Year and All Region Player of the Year. After a season like that, big colleges started noticing me more. I was talking with USF and Wofford College but my heart was already set on Catawba College in North Carolina, where I am now. I truly believe that I would not have achieved such success with out the help of SSA. They always get me excited to play and train. I am so thankful for the coaches and friends that I have made through SSA for making me into the player and person I am today.
